This past weekend I was near West Chester, Pennsylvania for a baby shower. I checked Find Me Gluten Free for nearby options and found a dedicated gluten-free bakery right up the road from where we were staying – Aunt Kim’s Gluten Free Bakery.
Aunt Kim’s Gluten-Free Bakery, Chadds Ford, PA
The bakery itself is very adorable and makes you feel as if you walked into the owner, Kim Tosten’s, home. It has the set up of a cafe so you are free to enjoy your treats in the store.
Aunt Kim’s has been a part of the community for about three years and it is apparent that it is a beloved establishment by the flow of customers while we were visiting.
The bakery is dedicated gluten-free because Kim has celiac disease, so she understands the importance of keeping her baked treats celiac-safe.
She even sells her own gluten-free flour in-store!
While we were there, Kim and Grace told us all about the bakery and their gluten-free journeys. We had a lovely chat! It is apparent how important gluten-free living is to both of them as well as the importance of making dedicated gluten-free food accessible to families.
We tried an assortment of treats from Kim’s – cupcakes, bread, cookies, pretzels, and other pastries.
My top 3 favorites were the Jewish Apple Cake, the Carrot Cake Cupcake, and especially the freshly baked Gluten-Free Pretzel Bites. I haven’t had a fresh pretzel in so long!! Even my gluten-loving friend bought a pack of pretzel bites because they were so good.
The one thing celiacs do need to watch out for is the gluten-free pasta that is sold by local company, Settantatre. I did not realize until after I purchased it and brought it home that it says on the label “Processed in facility with gluten cross-contamination possible.”
I threw mine out because it was not worth the cross-contamination risk for me.

My Overall Review
Overall, my honest review is that Aunt Kim’s Gluten Free Bakery in Chadds Ford, PA is truly a gem for those with gluten sensitivities or celiac disease.
With their delicious and diverse menu of baked goods, all made without any gluten-containing ingredients, customers can indulge in treats that are both safe and satisfying.
The dedication to quality and taste at this bakery is unmatched, making it a must-visit destination for anyone looking for delicious gluten-free options. Plus, the customer service and love is a wonderful added bonus!
I will definitely be visiting again!
